Healthy Baking Class: Get Urgent Care in San Diego in Case of Burns

Hotel del Coronado’s esteemed Pastry Chef, Daphne Higa, will be holding a class focused on healthy baking. The class is open for both adults and children (provided that they are accompanied by an adult) and will feature Chef Daphne’s famous pastry recipes. It aims to teach people how to make desserts that will satisfy the taste buds, while keeping a healthy weight.

However, like with any other baking class, there are possibilities of heat-related injuries and a need to visit a San Diego urgent care facility afterwards.

Things to Look Out For While Baking: Burns and Scalds

When baking, an individual has to work around sources of heat, such as electricity and chemicals, both of which can cause burns with four levels of severity. Aside from burns, hot liquids like boiling water, heated oil, or steam can cause scalding. Scalding is considered as a second-degree burn.
